The Eurail Pass is like a "magic pass" for railway travel in Europe. For non-European residents, it is an excellent choice for exploring Europe. With a Eurail Pass, you can freely travel across the railways of 33 European countries. There is no need to buy separate train tickets for each journey, making your European trip much easier and more convenient. Within the valid period, you can take various trains unlimited times, including regional trains, scenic trains, night trains, high-speed trains, and the Eurostar, and fully enjoy the beautiful scenery and culture of Europe.
- Eurail Global Pass: This is a pass that can be used in 33 European countries, suitable for tourists who plan to travel in multiple European countries. It provides a wide range of travel options, allowing you to freely travel between different countries and explore the diversity of Europe.
- Eurail One Country Pass: If you only plan to travel deeply in one European country, then the Eurail One Country Pass will be a better choice. It allows you to take trains unlimited times within a specific country, enabling you to experience the local customs, culture, and scenery of that country more attentively. For example, if you are particularly interested in the culture and scenery of Germany, you can choose the Eurail German Rail Pass to explore every corner of Germany to your heart's content.

Activating the Eurail Pass is not complicated. Here are the specific steps:
- Download and open the Eurail/Interrail Rail Planner App.
- Click on "My Pass", then select "Add Your Pass", and enter your surname and the pass number (usually found in the purchase receipt or confirmation email).
- Then create a travel plan and give it a name for easy management and tracking of your itinerary.
- Enter the same passport information as when you purchased the ticket, and select the start date of the pass. This will be the first day you use the pass for travel, and the pass will become valid from this day until it expires.

When using the Eurail Pass, seats on some trains need to be reserved in advance:
- First, enter the departure and destination cities on the Rail Planner official website or App to check the train schedules and confirm whether seats need to be reserved in advance. If seat reservation is required, orange text will appear, showing the reservation fee.
- After finding the ideal train journey, remember to save it to "My Trips".
- When you are ready to travel, go to "My Trips" and click on the corresponding journey to add it to your itinerary.
- A QR Code will be generated for each journey. When boarding the train, show the QR Code in the Rail Planner to the staff for inspection.
It should be noted that for some routes in Spain, seat reservation can only be made through the Eurail App. In countries such as Portugal and Greece, seat reservation cannot be done through the Eurail App, and you need to go to the local train station for reservation. When reserving seats at a local train station in Poland, an additional 1 zloty handling fee is required. When using the Eurail App to reserve seats, in addition to the reservation fee, an additional 2 euros handling fee is also required.

The Eurail Pass mainly comes in two types: the Flexi-Pass and the Consecutive Pass:
- Flexi-Pass: Within the selected time range, according to the validity period and number of days of the pass you purchased, you can freely choose any number of days to use it. For example, if you buy a Flexi-Pass that allows you to choose 4 days within 1 month, you can freely pick 4 days to travel within that 1 month. It is very suitable for travelers whose itinerary arrangements are flexible and who do not want to be restricted by fixed dates.
- Consecutive Pass: Starting from the first travel date you choose, the validity period of the pass will be calculated, and you need to use it continuously for the specified number of days. For instance, if you buy a Consecutive Pass for 15 days and choose to start using it on February 1st, then the validity period will be from February 1st to February 15th. It is suitable for travelers with a tight itinerary and daily travel plans.
