Dayongfu City is located in the heart of Zhangjiajie’s bustling business district, built on the historical site of a 600-year-old government office. The area exudes rich ethnic charm and features an exhibition hall dedicated to multi-ethnic intangible cultural heritage, as well as the Zhangjiajie Museum. Comprising eight distinct buildings, the architecture reflects the styles of Miao, Bai, Yao, and other ethnic groups from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It also serves as a spiritual center for ceremonial gatherings of five local ethnic communities and hosts vibrant folk performances year-round.

Inspired by the historic Tusi castle of western Hunan, the park showcases authentic Tujia village architecture and vibrant ethnic customs. Visitors can enjoy traditional performances, including the ancient Maogus dance—typically held before the famous waving hand dance during festivals. The ritual begins with offerings to the Tu King, accompanied by ceremonial songs and prayers for good fortune.
